Aren't quad boards almost impossible to find now?

I was about the ask the same thing. I've found one or two, but the options for leds were pretty limited. Seems like you can get just about anything on a 3up Noctigon.

Right now, I'm leaning towards something that would accommodate the 20mm Noctigon or the XHP50/70 on a 20mm board.

Isn't Heat an issue with triples? Plus isn't finding quad boards a little challenging?

My thought right now is to stick with a triple, make the light a little larger, and try to use that extra material to dissipate the heat better.

The current configuration should suffice for triples at the current output. Mac and Hanko have triples running up to 3 Amps. Past that, might need more heatsinking.

On high the head on mine is warm in about 30 seconds, so I'd say the copper pill and beefy alu head are moving heat very well.

Sorry, I was talking about a 18650 or a 2*18350 model. I think it'd be fine with a 18650, but I was thinking more along the lines of how it would perform with 18350s, an XHP70 and a FET driver. I've heard that that combination in a smaller Sinner gets hot enough to burn you quick.

I haven't seen this question asked so if it already has been answered, my apologies.

Will this light require a rechargeable battery, or will it run on a lithium primary also?

It requires a lithium ion IMR 18350. A primary won't support the discharge rate.

Xhp and mtg2 sound awesome, but I'm not sure how practical they would be at 3 amps. I have an mtg2 in a 2x18350 configuration and it doesn't last long. There's the wow factor, but you would definitely need a backup when it runs out of juice.

Mac is making vape gear now. And i do think he is just as reliable at that. Mac who indeed, Gunga.

I'll probably offer my light with safer options, most likely the same configuration I'm using now, just with a 18650. But I do want to offer them as hosts as well.

I know. I'm just kidding. I just mean the lights are pretty equivalent to me. No point looking for a Mac for me. The TinyDC does everything the same or better. Now just need a ti one!

I'm glad to see a guy and his shop is producing quality lights. If you need photography of lights, beam shots, macro pictures, just let me know.

I'm sorry, I missed this. Yes please.

And that goes to everyone else too. I love user photos. I've seen some posted on this thread, but if you have one of my lights and you take pictures of it, please send them my way too.

I haven't got a light in my hands yet. Just a little out of my reach at this time. Too much work being done on my house.
