Old Eveready flashlight identification

About the book; it's very much about Eveready. Other early brands are mentioned but mostly in passing. And the meat of the content is pre-1960 or so, even though it does cover up to 1998. So it's a fantastic resource but if you're into other brands you're not gonna get much out of it.
Just an opportunity to buy more books regarding those other brands. My inner bookworm doesn't mind at all.

Lovely old flashlight John, and wow nice book, love the classic Eveready flashlights.
Those older products truly were works of art. You can tell that they took pride in producing a product that was not only functional and useful, but a delight to own and look at. I wish manufacturers of today would put such class into their products. Unfortunately, it seems that utility and cost are what drive most designs today, except perhaps vehicles. Vehicle manufacturers know that looks is what sells cars.

Seems like a fine thread for me to post
a couple photos of my OLDEST flashlight . . . . .

I'm now 72 years old, and bought this beauty
when I was 6 years old. There was a BIN of them
at our local drug store in NW Indiana.

Eveready Cordahide 2-D cell model

This still occupies the nightstand alongside my bed.
