old style 6P Laser Products questions

Hey Gang,

I'm new here. Been trying to learn a bit about my old 6P. It's the laser products tailcap type with round body and lexan lens in the bezel. I use it and am just wondering if its the sort of thing that has enough collector value that I should leave it alone or put it away. My main question is whether or not I should replace the lens. I think it's warped a bit as it is concave and won't let a malkoff drop in fit properly. I ordered a new lens just want to make sure I wouldn't be committing some terrible injustice by installing it 🙂

Laser Products 6Ps tend to attract a higher price, but a collector will generally only pay a top price for a mint condition example. If you've been using it and it has some character marks already, I'd just carry on using it if I were you.

If you do plan on using it, I would strongly recommend getting a Lock-Out Tailcap as well as a new lens.
