I got this one light when I was a kid before I even knew I was a collector.
It used to work a bazllion years ago and a simple series of fixes should bring it back to life
I was wonder what should be used to sand blast, for lack of better terms to clean the rust. Some of the rust has prevented electrical contact. I did try sand paper but some of the rusted areas are hard to get at, without pulling or removing rivets. Removing the rivets is not a problem. Finding new rivets and keeping it original present a challenge.
Below you'll see the complete light and then the inside rusted areas. Any suggestions? I found much of the surfaces on the contacts used to be chrome. I rtied some small soldering to sort of resurface the areas, but they're in confined areas. If the bottom line means stripping the whole lamp apart, I'll do that but in the mean time if anyone has a quick and easy, I'll try that first
Any other collectors working on restorations?
