So I have owned a Warrior X for a couple of years. Bought new, used it regularly, never ever missed a beat. During the last month I have used it for a couple of hours, no issue.

I sold it. Now the new owner says it's totally dead. Then I get a message that the light works again. Then more messages where he says it is the mode switch from normal to tactical or vice versa that causes malfunction. Then he replaces the battery and soon it will work again.

Is there a bug in the mode swich procedure (unscrew the tail cap and screw back on with the button depressed)? Or what the heck is going on? I once tried the switch myself with zero issues. Any advice appreciated. :anyone:

The new owner also said that he had tried to "lightly" unscrew the reflector head or the bezel before the malfunction. Don't know if that's related.

ps. I have refunded and expect to get the light back soon.

You're damn right! I feel sorry for selling it already. What a trooper of a light.

Now, turns out he did not screw the tailcap all the way closed. I have dutifully applied silicone grease to the O rings but still. He refunded my refund and will be keeping the light. 🙂

There are few electrical failures, only mechanical failures that break or short circuits. After a while you realize that most problems are. likely the cell or the connections to it. These are the ones made by hand and subject to abuse.
