For those that have been following my EDC project you have probably noticed that the name Black Tie has not been an official name as much as a design inspiration and direction. This is just to let you know it will be officially known as the Black Tie from now on. I have incorporated this theme into the design now(in a very cool way I might add) so it is "set in stone". Also the development on the UI/driver situation is going well so far. There are still many things that need to be hammered out but my basic idea seems to be feasible. As soon as I get confirmation that it will indeed work I will fill you in on all the details. I would hate to get you all excited about a certain UI and then not be able to deliver.:kiss:

Well no telling what's in store for future finances, so I may not be able to afford it. But for the time being I'll stand in line as well. Looks like I have enough room in front of me now that I can recover from my current bout of lights that are on queue for me.

I was thinking along those lines too :thumbsup: ..................................waiting for an answer.................or maybe not - both ways are good 😗

If it does use that kind of battery then it should have an external charger like a cell phone (i.e. you can recharge the light without having to take the battery out).

I'd always thought of the Spy 005 as a "black tie" light but it's nowhere near 1000 lumens.
