I had a question or two on these. How is the fit and finish on the current crop of these? Has the beam quality improved any as well? Thank you.

Boy, I had one for a short time and thought it was simply awful. I actually can't think of one good thing to say about it. (And the first one arrived broken!)

Save your money. ;)

EDIT: I just re-read your post. It's been six months or so since my experience with mine. If there are new ones out perhaps (I hope) they're better.

Fit and finish is improve. They now also include a rubber or silicone 'shock' absorber type thing for the bezel. Law enforcement and mechanic purchases of these have ben through the roof. Way whiteer/brighter than the stock incan and longer runtime which = less battery cycling which = longer battery life.

I keep one in my saddle bag for LEO work as a loaner. Anyone who has borrowed it has either bought one for themselves or have been "wowed" by the led upgrade.

Ugly beam = yes, but that dosent count for us when we need light.

And i have the original version.

Can you say (more lumens) XP-G please.

Bill
