Opalec NewBeam LED Module

Hi,

I was just looking to get the Opalec NewBeam LED Module for the Mag AA. Can anyone tell me how bright this module is? Does is compare to the LS mod? Thanks.

No!!, It is nowhere near as bright but has its advantages in run time, lower cost, etc. Its one of the few products that got a 5 star rating also. I have a newbeam myself and love it. It is plenty bright.

I have a comparison shot between the Arc LS and NewBeam at 3' on my website.

The Arc LS is much brighter and tighter but the NewBeam kit is still bright and very useful, and don't forget that you get 8+ hours at full brightness!

Not owning an LS, I find the comparison to the AAA alot more meaningful. The Opalec looks plenty bright for most tasks. I'm looking forward to new products from these guys!
