I've had my newbeam for 4 days now. Overall, I'm very impressed- as are the guys at work. I found an interesting quirk though. If I turn the head counter-clock just slightly, the red LED illuminates along w/ the other 3 LEDs. Turning the head further the red LED is off & others are much brighter. I checked each batt voltage & 1.45vdc. Is my module not seated fully, or have others found this same quirk? At what voltage is the red LED designed to illuminate?

I ran mine off 4 AA's and it worked fine. Hey I wonder how long these would last in a 2 D cell light. Imagine that Darell! Ok who can make one in a 2 D cell Mag? Or even a 2 C cell Mag?

This is one cool product. It certainly puts new life in the mini-mags that I have lying around. Not that this compares with the ARC-LS, but if I had this before I heard of the ARC-LS, I'm not so sure I would have ever purchased an LS.
