Gunga mentioned in the other thread that he will be in town September 27th.

I would like to organize another CPF meet while he is here.

I am proposing the next meet be on Sunday September 27th at the Tim Hortons on Innes Road (intersection of Innes and Cyrville - across the street from Costco).

I figure around 6:30 would be a good time.
We can spend some time chatting and checking out lights before heading to the place DUQ mentioned to try some lights out.

Darn it, just realized I may be in Montreal till saturday...

I better confirm this. Sorry for not confirming earlier when you asked me!

Hey guys, I looked at my Sched, will be in Montreal that date, and have some availability Sept 27th, Sunday Eve.

Does that work for you guys?

Re: Ottawa area CPF meet - September 25

The 27th will probably be OK for me.

Not sure if my wife would be working that day yet, but I'd be able to come after 7:00 PM if she is working.

Re: Ottawa area CPF meet - September 25

I just remembered that I'm going to a corporate soft ball tourney the afternoon of the 25th. So I'm good for Saturday or Sunday.

Re: Ottawa area CPF meet - September 25

I think most of the Ottawa area folks reside in the east end.

If no one objects, we could meet at the Tim Hortons on Innes Road (next to Costco).

gunga, how are you getting to Ottawa from Montreal? Plane, train, or bus?
Not sure what to tell you regarding a rental car, but I can tell you that Sunday bus service in this city sucks big time for non-transitway routes.

Re: Ottawa area CPF meet - September 25

Hey there, that could work out well.

We are taking a rental car from Montreal to Ottawa. I just have to sort out transport to the Tim Hortons on sunday. We'll be staying in the East end, but will ikely switch to the West end that night.

Thanks eh!

The Tims sounds like a great spot. If we bring light's; we could go around the back (behind End of the Roll?) and light them up or take a quick run down to Anderson road. Great spot on the old CP rail line.

Gunga: I can pick you up at the hotel/motel. Just let me know where.

Re: Ottawa area CPF meet - September 25

Yep, it's a go.

I'll be there, sounds like DUQ will be there as well.

I'll check with Flic. bob_ninja had mentioned wanting to meet there before, so I'll check with him as well.

I no longer have a ton of cool/exotic lights.

Is there anything you guys wanted me to bring? I can bring the Mentor, I do have a decent collection of Lumapower and a variety of other lights, but they are midpriced, not too exotic.

Almost all of it is modded with neutral crees and high CRI seouls.

:naughty:

None of my lights qualify as exotic.

My most expensive light is the MG L-Mini II that I bought from Shiningbeam.

I'll be bringing that, one or both of my Solarforce L2's (both with L-Mini II circuit boards installed), and my iTP A3 EOS.
I could also bring my Dorcy Super 1 watt modded with a Seoul U-bin P4.

I might bring one of my Spiderfire X-03 (L2) if anyone wants handle the Solarforce and Spiderfire P60 hosts.

I wouldn't mind seeing one of the high CRI a Seoul lights.

Cool, I wanted to check out the L-mini 2.

My EDC is a High CRI seoul in an Liteflux LF2. I should show you my newest mod, a Nitecore D10 with high CRI seoul mod. Cool, smooth beam. Should have kept a few more of these leds!

I have the L-mini circuit in use too, I love the memory implmentation on that one. I have a spare but have not found a suitable host yet.

I was thinking of getting a neutral L-mini 2, but just dunno... Too many lights!

:D

My wife is not working that day, so I'll be able to meet up with everyone else at a decent time.

If all the parts arrive in time, I'll be bringing a DIY P60 drop-in with a neutral white Cree XR-E Q3-5C emitter.

Hey guys, I am just wondering how many members showed up at the last meet? What about the number of members planning to show up for this upcoming meet?

I just want to get an idea how many active members are around Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
