P/T L.E.D. Module.

Hey Toby,

This is the same module used in the PT Matrix headlamp. Though regulated, it is quite dim, I think an Arc beats it in brightness.

And the Clipper will definitely blow it away.

I saw these the other day. Nicely made unit and will upgrade certain models of P/T headlamps. The negative was cost - $30 same price as a complete Aurora 3 LED headlamp... Still, It's nice to see a company offering options.

I had one of these and yclo is right, it wasn't as bright as my Arc-AAA. I would definitely recommend the Opalec NewBeam(module for mini maglite)over this module. It costs about the same amount and will give you much more light. My second choice would be a PT Attitude over this light. It isn't regulated but it starts off much brighter than the PT module and will remain brighter for quite awhile and it's cheaper.

I was thinking of getting the PT module for my Tech 20 after I discovered that the TechAss PR-2 could not be used with Lithiums.

I like the Opalec module, but in the Mini-Mag, it's not totally waterproof, and a bit heavy for the light output.

Is there any regulated LED 2-AA dive or seriously waterproof light that can use lithiums other than the PT Matrix module? If they would just come out with Lithium AAA's then the Attitude would rule.

Here's an idea, why not mod an Opalec Newbeam to fit into a PT headlamp? Or replace guts of PT led module with Newbeam guts?
