P2D for Christmas (and first impressions from a newbie)

I finally got a quality light! I received a Fenix P2D Q5 for Christmas! This is my first quality light and I'm very excited about using it. We're going to the movies tomorrow .

Size: Nothing can really get across the incredibly small size of this light other than seeing it in person. It is smaller (lengthwise) than any cellphone (sans antenna) I've come across.

Light: Amazing. High + White Ceiling illuminates an entire room (tested in 15x15 ft.) with enough light to easily read. Color rendition is great for an LED. The beam quality is amazing, almost perfectly smooth. Slight ring around the edge, but only noticeable when actively looking for it. The light output blows away the light output from any of my other lesser flashlights.

Quality: Finish is great, switch works 100% of the time. Smooth pre-lubricated threads. LED is perfectly centered.


Now I'm just anxiously awaiting a good chance to use my new EDC. This thing is going with me everywhere.

Great aren't they ? Also it's easy to run on AA rechargeables by adding an L1 body. I carry both bodies as my EDC. I use the AA's normally but if it runs out or I need a little extra light I have it

Congratuations. It is a great light. I've had mine for a couple of months now and I like it even better now. My EDC has changed to the Myshondt Nautilus I just purchased because it is so much smaller but I still love my P2D-Q5.
