P4 in Minimag

ok so filed down a p4 star and drilled old minimag reflector and pressed the star into minimag head. Power is from 3aa rech pack with low ohmic resistor. Prototype luxeon drew [email protected] not got the readings for the P4.

All watertight.

Just wondering how high could i drive the led in the magheat issue
 
..... it really would depend on how much metal the star is sat on, or / and in contact with,
a case of `suck it and see`
ie, just start off with a low current for 10 minutes
if thats ok try a bit more .... :thumbsup:

Nice work! Have you got assembly pics? I'm curious to see what you did, and see the beam shot when you are done!

This has given me inspiration to start planning and designing an upgrade for my MiniMaglite. :)
