Re: P60 XPG modules in warm, neutral, cool white/ SST-50 -90 P60 dropin Modules (part

Dave, please PM me a price for an sst50 4500k DD 3mode with smo and lop reflectors....for use with up to an 18650 IMR in my solarforce l2p host. I want it as bright as an sst50 can be for 4500k. I dont need it potted.

Thanks, PBX

tulsot-

try leaving just one ring of the large spring on there or
smash some strips of aluminum foil or strips of soda can
- it helps a little with heat transfer and can help with contact.

THANKS FOR THE BEAMSHOTS!!!

super excited to get my r2 linger one mode out in the woods-
should be the perfect handle bar light for DH MTB!

Re: P60 XPG modules in warm, neutral, cool white/ SST-50 -90 P60 dropin Modules (part

I am having problems in a Surefire G2L with a Pelican tailcap tape switch. The bezel will only screw down without the large spring removed(I expected that), but without it the light will not come on with the bezel screwed all the way down, but will if you loosen the bezel slightly. Any suggestions?

Tulsot-
Being that the inside of a G2L is plastic, and the only thing that makes contact with the negative contact of an LED module is the metal sleeve inside it's body, the spring might help with contact; the Al probably won't. For heat, it definitely won't help, as the only thing it will be transferring heat to is plastic.

I have a softer/narrower gauge spring from the outside of an old UltraFire LED module; it compresses better around the taper of a brass pill. In my G2/G3 some modules work perfectly with it; some don't. Some work without a spring at all; it's a trial and error process. On others the solder blob between the brass and PCB helps make good contact with the metal tube (you could try adding more).

Having said all that, though, I wouldn't risk using your brand new XP-G in your G2L anyways, except at very short intervals. It produces alot more heat than the stock P60L, and even though it has an Al bezel, a Nitrolon body is a terrible heat conductor; I've overheated two of my favorite modules that way!

Hope this helps, Tony

Thanks for the input Tony. This is on a weapon mounted light and it typically gets very little constant on, maybe a few seconds to a few minutes. Do you have an idea about what length of constant on would start to cause problems with this set up?

I would run the **** out of the module on your gun/rifle before putting it to "real use". I love my NB stuff just like the next guy but it's not tried and true yet (I'm assuming) on weapons systems. Right now all my weapon mounted lights are from Surefire. You can leave them on full time if you have to and they take a serious beating.

Let us know how it turns out. I'm sure nailbender would like the information as well to improve anything if he has to (which I doubt). 😎

Hello Dave, new to this hobby so all I can say is "i'm trying", am getting sucked in pretty well!

I just picked up a l2p and am looking for a setup for it. I'm thinking along the lines of a sst-50 with a protected18650 battery with 2xcr123a's Energizer LIoNs as backup.

Looking for a three mode (low/med/high), day+ duration on low (if thats not too much to ask

Hi

I have many that are in use with many Leo's including the Houston police dept and swat in weapon lights and have been for months. (I even some nice patches sent by them) I have another Leo member that has shot hundreds of rounds with his 870 and a member that wrote he now has over a thousand rounds on his 9mm with my modules.
They are tried and tested with out the first complaint even with the offer to replace if they could not stand up.
If specified for weapons lights they are built so they cannot come apart.

Hi

Running on 1X18650 is fine and on CR123 primaries, no RCR123 as the SST 50 are 6 volt max.

I am not quite sure of your question, I don't know how long on low if that is one of them.

The drivers are high 100% / med 45% / low is 5% on the regulated drivers.
Depending on batts used you should get a bit over an hour on a 18650 on high and more on lower levels

Re: P60 XPG modules in warm, neutral, cool white/ SST-50 -90 P60 dropin Modules (part

I stand corrected. Do you offer LEO pricing? I work for Houston. 😉

Edit to add: Just as a suggestion, you might want to put a little disclaimer on the first post of the ads to please specify if it will be used for weapons or not. I didn't know about the "option" and would have likely dropped it right in a weapon mounted host as is. It's just one of those extra precautions. Thermal Potting to a non-flashaholic doesn't mean anything.

Dave,

Just to make sure...

The 1-4.2V regulated 3-mode XPG-R3 (5000K) drop-in does NOT have a buck driver, only a boost driver?

Thanks.

Re: P60 XPG modules in warm, neutral, cool white/ SST-50 -90 P60 dropin Modules (part

Got an SST-50 3-speed 4500K for my bored C2. Really happy with it!!!

Thanks Dave!

Re: P60 XPG modules in warm, neutral, cool white/ SST-50 -90 P60 dropin Modules (part

I cant believe how BRIGHT it is- especially for a WARM/neutral
light. the 4k tint is s000000000ooooo nice.

cant wait to take this thing out on the trail.

I guess Im gonna be hooked on these warm lights now...😀

It really is weird how bright this thing is- Ill have to send it to
BIG C after I play with it this week.

thank you Dave!

Imagine how great this module would be as a headlamp!

Re: P60 XPG modules in warm, neutral, cool white/ SST-50 -90 P60 dropin Modules (part

Hey Dave. Per PMs I'll take a 1 mode regulated 4500k SST-50, sandwiched drivers with smooth reflector. Thanks.

:paypal:

Re: P60 XPG modules in warm, neutral, cool white/ SST-50 -90 P60 dropin Modules (part

Dave,

:paypal:

XPG-R3 5000K
Buck & Boost version
1-4.2V
5 Modes per your post response
Regulated
Smooth reflector
Run on (1) 18650
Dereelight CL1H V4 host

Accidentally entered shipping address in notes instead of field. Come to think of it, I didn't see the shipping address field on the Paypal page. I also forgot to identify the host in the notes, but it's included above.

PS,

If you think the smooth reflector will yield rings, please switch to the OP. Are the strobe and SOS easily removed? If not, that's fine.

Thanks!

Hey 🙂

Just wondering if you will have singlemode drivers that can support up to 9v as well as 1.5amp drivers.

Thanks for your time.

That's awesome. I'm interested in a:
Single mode 1.4amp (4-14v) - R2 4000k B3 tint

Price is $35 x 1.04 = $36.40 Is that correct? I live in Australia, how is this shipped? Does the price include shipping?

Also, I've noticed that you have 1 mode 2.8 amp drivers. Can these be used with 2 RCR123's in a linger special?

Thanks for your time.
