What should be my choice of your offerings if I am looking for the most OTF lumens from one 18650.
Hello Dave,
What is the current draw for SST-50, 1 level, regulated (4500K neutrals) for a) AW 18650 and b) 2 x CR123?
Thank you
Filip
Hi
They draw about 1.3 to 1.4 amps depending on batts.
As for lumens it depends on bin but R5 should be above 300
I don't have current levels and such but you can do the math.
High 100% / Med 45% / Low is 10 %
I would not use this driver with 18650 as there are better 3 level drivers out there for that.
I set a pot on these modules and when set for 2XAA they will sometimes overheat with 4.2 sometimes not.

Hi
As has been quoted the SST 50 is the highest OTF for a single die led except for the SST 90 but there are differences.
The SST 50 has a good combination of throw and spill. Since these are single die they have a great beam pattern with dedicated hotspots surround by a corona of spill.
There is also a SST 90 that is slightly brighter but is mainly all flood. It also has a great beam pattern but it is mostly flood.
The SST 90 is also much more of a power hog and produces more heat besides being very floody.
One last item would be a dual XPG where we as it sounds put 2X XPG on one board. They are about as bright as the SST 50 but are as floody as the SST 90. These also will have a small amount of center clutter in the beam, not quite a doughnut hole but enough to know 2 emitters are used.

Does the DD SST-90 3 mode on high draw too many amps for a Z57 clicky to handle?
What is the lumen rating?
Dave,
Close to pulling the trigger on another SST-90 drop-in but have a question. The 3-level I have appears to run at 300ma, ~700ma, ~3.3-3.4A.
Is it possible to get the SST-90 3000K drop-in with a 2-level setup which will run in the 500-700mA range on Lo (I guess approx 15-20% drive) and full drive on Hi?
Thanks
It's time for a new P60 drop-in.
DUAL XPG (Linger Special) $45 / 3 level 2.5 amp 3.6-6 volts max.
R5 6500k 1A tints <-----???
I sent you a PM last night.

was wondering how your SST direct drive would do with an Oveready "zero resistance" switch?
do you think it can provide an extra 100+ lumens?
would the "zero resistance" switch make a difference with 18650 IMR as opposed to Li-ion, with SST direct drive?
