I need(notice, "need" not want) A drop in P7 for a 3D mag lite. and a reflector with a medium stipple and a good bit of throw.
How many lumens would i be getting out of the P7 with the standard 3D battery configuration. and what am i looking at as far as run time?

If any of you have any info that will help please let me know.

Can't help you with the drop in part as I don't know of any . The P7 generates some heat and needs a good heat sink. Elektro Lumens does a mag conversion on a 3 d light for 130.00 and that includes the light. Puts out 930 lumens and it throws real well but its a permanet mod but very reliable.
. I run it on 3 d cell low loss accupower 10,000 Mah Nimh batteries and that will give you right about 3 + hours of run time.
when available Malkoff has a 3 emitter ( Q5s I believe) drop in at 700 lumens that is quite bright at about 158.00 but does not include the light but is well regarded and will run off of 3 ds for a pretty good run time. Availability is kind of hit /miss. Best to sign up for his e-mail alerts to get one. I have two of the Elektro Lumens P7's from Wayne and they are excellent.

I am measuring 2.8A with fresh batteries. This should translate to 740+ lumens at the LED; 590+ out front with the UCL lens; 520+ with the stock Mag plastic lens.
Ernsanada measured 14,600 lux @ 1 meter.

Scroll down for the outdoor beamshots.

Runtime
4 hours with 12000mAh;
3 hours with 9000mAh;
1.5 hours with 4500mAh (C cells);
Energizer 2500mAh need not apply.

Interesting find.
Read the comments at the bottom of the page.
Looks like it is designed for the WF-500 or equivalent running off 2*18650 batteries (7.2V).
Dim if run at less voltage (1*18650 or the equivalent to a 3D mag). Quote:"I tested it with a single cell (4.2V) by jumping it with a piece of wire; very dim, I can look straight into the beam no problem, so I think it's strictly for 7.2V~8.4V."
Pill not touching the M@g body so may overheat.
Will somethign like this drop in my mag lite?
