Sold/Expired P7, MC-E, UV & Night vision IR !!! P60/D26 style drop-ins for Sf products (part 2)

Re: P7, MC-E, UV & Night vision IR !!! P60/D26 style drop-ins for Sf products (part 2

Hello Dave,

can we get some Beamshots of the SST - 90-50 D26/D36 Modules and some Picture of the Dropins compare to a MCE.:poke:

Thanks

Danny

Hi Danny

I can do some wall shots later but i don't have a decent enough camera for outside shots.

I will try to get some pics of he dropins but the SST-50 look just like an MCE drop in as the lens is the same size and the SST-90 looks jsut like a P7 drop in as the lens is the same size.

Hi, another newbie question.

I've got a SF 9P and wondering what options i have!?
Looking for the best throw and hot spot!
Thanks

Gotta get into all the hype.

Lo is 15% med 45% and high is 100% as for what they draw amp wise I am not sure about that. The 3 level driver draws 2.8 amps when first turned on I am sure that it could be figured out from there.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks for the previous reply. The 2.8amps figure, is that with a 3.7 or 6V supply?

Also, what neutral or warm-white MC-E bins do you (/will you in the coming weeks) have available? I'm getting very close to ordering...

Re: P7, MC-E, UV & Night vision IR !!! P60/D26 style drop-ins for Sf products (part 2

Hi - Sorry for this but I can't quite see it on page #1.
My 6p is an older one with a twisty/momentary on tail cap. I run with standard cr123a primaries. I guess that limits me to a single mode drop-in?
What's the brightest you could offer? Can you do the p7/mc-e or am I looking at the dd variants?
Also - any idea on the current shipping costs to the UK for a single unit?

Cheers and thanks for your help in advance. 🙂

Hi AntMan

Even though there is alot of spill on the P7 I think that or the SST-50 are you best choices. They would be 3 level no flashes

Thanks

Hi
You would have that current at both of those voltages.

I have a JE6 in warm white MCE and in neutral white Kbin and either 5B or 4C for tints. I should have all three for a while.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Footzo

You can still get levels with the twisty - momentary tail piece, you can either twist the light on and off quickly or use the momentary to find the right level and then while holding it on twist it to on and it will stay in that level. It is a little convoluted but I use that type for testing all the time.

I DD variety modules some with levels and I have a good 6volt max 3 level driver.

As for brightest both the P7 bins and the Mbin MCE are both in the same general area to where you probably won't tell the difference.

Shipping to UK is $3.50 for one module sent 1st class Int.

Thanks

Dave

SST-90 drop-in received:wow: at first i wasn't incredibly impressed until i realized i had put the whole light together and was trying in OUTSIDE at 3:30PM in georgia (i received my host, my drop-in, and a quark123 all in my mailbox today!!!) I took it in to compare to my 3SD R2 with SMO and some other lights and i just wet myself. Thanks so much for a great piece of work!

Glad it worked out, it seems real floody but it is all the raw power and still only being pushed part way. I am glad you are pleased you got one of the first drops with those in them.

Have a great weekend

I have a reasonable understanding of physics but my knowledge of electronics is limited. Must admit the statement above to me sounds like the wattage of the LED & driver (and hence the output) varies depending on the input voltage if the current does not vary with voltage...don't worry about my ignorance...😱

Anyway, sending PM with order specifics!

I am not an electrical engineer for sure, there are drivers that vary depending on the VF and drivers that are constant current drivers, now I really don't know how that works but I have drivers that furnish say 1amp from 4 to 18 volts

I may not have understood what you were exactly asking .

Any details for the SST-50 drop in? Voltage requirement, estimate output lumens...tq

6 volts max using SHining beams 2.5 amp 3level driver.

lumens are 425 to 450

All modules are labeled with both voltage and lumens plus instructional sheet.

Dave,

Seems that you have a lot of happy members here that have received your work. I have not had the time to read through every page but here goes:

I would like the following & have cash funded PayPal standing by...

1) Cree XP_E - XRE Cool White R2 bins and available with one level price $30

2) Diamond Dragon in ultra white only. Both available in one light level . Price $40

Please PM me with the total & your paypal address and I'll get it out to you right away. If you are out of one thing or another just let me know, I'm sure I can pick out a substitute or wait till you have what you need. I also see an MC-E in my future...

Gary

Edit to add: I saw this:

Cree R2 XP-E in WD & WC tint is the brightest single die led that cree makes. The newest bins are up to 275 lumen manufacturer rated @ bulb. These are driven @ up 1.2 amps. Operating voltage is 3.6 volts to 6 volts. These will run at full power on one 16340 for up to 1 hour with little dimming. This led has one of the tightest and longest throws.

Is this my #1 above?
