Anyone seen these yet, this fella with funky glasses talks about them on youtube. I presume that`s what he`s talking about anyway!

Should be cheaper than 3x4.

:)

I do like listening to Japanese.

I think you made a mistake though. He seems to be talking about something called an "eneroop". :D

Yeah, know what you mean. Japanese have a really hard time saying "L". "R" is the closest that they get. Prez of a company I worked for was Japanese. Had to put my hand over my mouth one time, leave the room, and burst out laughing in another room when he was talking about IBM "crones". A Japanese guy I met one time, when he would drink alcohol, the drunker he got, the more English he would forget. Pretty comical. I'm sure we sound just as funny to them when we try to speak Japanese.

:)

eneroop does sound funny, but I wasn`t chuckling at his accent. It`s the funky glasses that got me smiling, If we could understand what he was saying maybe it`d be a clue as to whether the world will see these new packs.

At least 12 aa and a few aaa is what I`m after so that pack or maybe 2 would be perfect, can get trays of 48 for the best price per cell but that`s a few too many for my needs.

Anyone speak Japanese?

Well, looks like he just went out and bought them, along with an eneruupu mobairu buusutaa (eneloop mobile booster) that we also don't see much of outside of Japan...

Imagine a conversation about the US "election" then ;-)

I wondered how long it would be before it was took to that level :D

We don`t see much of eneloops relatively speaking, their still available though.
I think these packs are new in japan (just my instinctive feeling), hopefully they`ll filter through.

What we need is an english speaking japan based eneloop watcher to keep us informed. :anyone:

It would seem just a $0.77 saving then for the US but $6 for the UK. I expect there to be a bigger saving than that when their available more localy than the jp amazon. I find amazon to be among the most expensive for eneloops too (for the UK)

Now we have the product code I`m going to email the component-shop and batterycity to see if their expecting them.

According to sanyos website their a new product so I`m hopefull they`ll filter through and become cheaper.

No reply from component-shop as yet, although, I also told them about an error on their homepage which they`ve since fixed, so I`m not hopefull for a reply.

We recommend SANYO eneloop - the next generation of rechargeable batteries.

Looks like we have a long wait then. Judging by the amount of eneloop stuff they stock and the fact they [FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]recommend eneloop`s in their email sigs, I think it`s safe to conclude that is a pretty reliable answer. Unfortunatly!
