I was doing some google searching and found THIS "I have a *panasonic* headlamp which uses 1-cr123 camera battery (AA width, halk the length...) which outperforms my petzl micro in brightness and averages 12 hrs a batery and weighs about half of my Petzl lamp.... Its an awesome lamp, but I think the ultra-lighters would go crazy over!!! The batteries are a lil more expensive but at less than a dollar difference between 2-AA lithium batteries and 2 hrs more, I think its a fair trade-off!!! Maybe I should import the things? Just curious, because it works great, but haven't read about any stateside..."

Then I did a little more Google searching and found THIS and THIS

I haven't found much more. The Panasonic, National/Panasonic and Matsushita websites have nothing on the BF192 and nothing relevant on headlamps.

Thanks both of you. The CR123 lamp in Tree's link is the BF194. The BF192C is in Graham's link. I've got enough clues to do some more searcing

I Google searched BF-192C and found more results, but they are all Japanese sites.

The place Tree linked to sells "astronomy safe red LED lights". I sent them an e-mail asking them if they can sell me a BF-192C. I also asked them where in the US I might get a BF-192C or other National (Panasonic) CR123 powered headlamps.

Anyone know of additional US sources of National (Panasonic) lights?
