Can anyone give me the part # for the silicon lube at Radio Shack? I'm hoping to pick some up with the coupon.

Thanks,
Robert

The coupon is great!
Bought a $6.99 solder sucker for $2.50 after taxes and the coupon. Great deal!
Sorry I don't have a part number, but to my knowledge that lube is the only one that Radio Shack carries. Runs about $2.99 and is packaged in a white tube. I'm going back tomorrow with another coupon...

Looks like 640-2326 as printed on the tube that I have here. You can surely also find it on the www.radioshack.com site.

I'm not sure I'd recommend the stuff. I wonder what others think. I put it on the threads of a number of my lights a while ago, and it worked great at first. But in the months since then, the stuff seems to have gotten runny and it gets on my fingers when I change batteries, etc., while not doing such a good lubrication job any more either. I think it may be better to stick with some kind of heavy ballbearing grease or something like that.

paulr,

I looked up that number and came up with this which states that the lube is an insulator. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
