Not a big deal, but i thought this was weird. I had both CR2016 coin cells out of my photon needing replacement and i try to run a white LED off them, but it just flickers once when i touch it to the batteries and thats it. Hook it up to a Li-Ion 3.7v ...works fine. Tried a different white LED on the coin cells and it works. Just wondered why that one wouldnt work.

I've heard that white LEDs which had been overloaded some times get a strange behaviour. But never had it by my own LEDs.

Yep, I fried one after running it VERY hot for about 8 months of heavy use. Now it initially pulses at an eye popping rate for 15 seconds or so, then settles into a steady light at a very low level. I tore it off of the quad bulb I had it in and the other three are still serving well in a flashlight that my 3 year old plays with.
