Has any one heard of this part ?
NTE anti stat (NTE935)IC
It's an adjustable voltage regulator .
The nice lady at the electronics parts store
recommended it when I aked her about simple
L.e.d. circuits . Would it be useful?
Price was 18.00 .

$18.00 for just the IC?...ouch...i hope a board comes with that...

beyond the price i know nothing about it =)...a few things i would find out before getting it, efficiencey, size of completed board, part count, voltage before it shuts down (i've read that AAs are pretty much dead at .9V), max amp/voltage output (with 'traditional' LEDs (.02A) this ain't a big issue)...

I just checked out the link , thanks .
Looks too complicated for me though .
I'll just leave it up to you electronic
engineers to figure out if it has any value
to this forum .

The NTE935 is a linear regulator, not a buck/boost reg. Its maximum output voltage is 3V below the input voltage.I don't think it's what you want for an LED application.
BTW, $18.00 is ...excessive.
