In the course of making a small phone order, I spoke on the phone today with Robyn and Curt, both of whom couldn't have been nicer. Robyn mentioned that Peak had some pretty cool new offerings, mainly of the high output LE/tactical variety, at the recent SHOT Show. She and I were both surprised there hasn't been more mention of them on CPF. She was preparing to leave on a trip, so I didn't take more of her time to ask the details.

So....does anyone have any of the Peak news from this year's SHOT Show?

Actually I think that is the fault of Peak for not promoting their own products here on cpf or on their website.

The website is a disaster. I see this over and over here and other places. I'm not sure why they don't just fix it?
I hear the lights are great and I'm waiting for one I bought on the sales forum. I plan to buy a Matterhorn or a Kilimanjaro HP single LED in RED pending my inspection of the used 3 white LED Matterhorn I wait for.

I'd like to know too.
A couple days ago I jumped onto the peak website and selectively allowed some scripts and stuff to run so I could search for any new offerings. Noting on the website. Nothing new here in the peak forum.
Hmmm I wonder why none of us know anything about it. :poke:
If anyone has some info about new peaks it would be great to hear.

I spoke with Kurt just before shot show and he told me about the following:

1) A 2x18500 battery case for the First Responder - I got one. It is by far the best body for that light. The First responder seems to work best near to 9v and pulls a fair amount of current. 2RCR123s work, but not for long enough. The dual 18500's are great.

2) A ~600 Lumen version of the First Responder. My understanding is that the light engine and assembly is bigger than the stock First Responder, but similar/same in size to the First Responder with Peak's heatsink. I asked Kurt if they had an upgrade program for existing First Responder owners and he said that they did not.

3) A 400 lumen weapons light. I didn't need one (like I really need any of these toys!), so I did not enquire.

There may be others and my details may be a bit off, so I appologize in advance for any errors

Their website is the WORST website in the history of flashlights (or at least US made flashlights). Their CD, no better IMO. I've written a suggestion to them 2x, to upgrade their site. It'd be nice to have a table with all their lights, LUMENS for output, dimensions, battery type. Easy to get a LOT of info across QUICKLY with table format.

Peak makes great lights.

Unfortunately it seems that CPF members care more about them making sales than they do themselves. Kurt did mention they are focusing on military/LEO sales, so maybe CPF isn't important anymore to them.

I ordered a Matterhorn from Peak a few months ago. I love it. The version I bought isn't on their website. As a result, I'm sure they don't sell very many of them.

I was told they would send me a CD but they never did. I bet I am not the only one in the dark about their current offerings,

When I ordered, I also learned a little about some new lights. There is no info on those lights on their website or CPF. Why would anyone be surprised there isn' more discussion on their new lights on CPF? How would anyone know what to write about, let alone order the light!

I have a brass 3 LED hipower Matterhorn attached to a Leatherman micra, one of the nicer AAA lights. I wish they made an Adjustable output version of it like the LF2.
