Yes I used to rewind motors. But some are too cheap... and the fan falls into this group. Besides, windings are good.
Get yourself a big squirrel cage.No. I want more airflow with more noise. This is a big fan designed for warehouse/workshop/etc. Need airflow. And using 2 in tandem now... one would provide more air and take us less space.
your aerodynamic cardboard brace takes away from the full flow of air...Blade cage is thicker than the motor, and that's NOT a small motor.
It's as big as the pic makes it appear.

Might have a repair for the worn out pedestal fan.
Tore the motor down. Cleaned/greased bearings. Sprayed windings with some insulating spray. Cleaned 3 speed switch. And have a new capacitor on order... old one was bulged on the backside where you couldn't see it.
Still on the hunt for an upgraded model though.

Don't you hate that... when you fix something you have so now I don't have an excuse to replace it...
