(Snide) COMMENTS
  • Excellent performer
  • Solid construction - almost "bulletproof"
  • Included holster might not be the best holster out there, but it's sturdy and professional-looking; it would be right at home on a toolbelt or LEO's duty belt
  • Extracts phenomenal thrown from a relatively small reflector
  • Tail switch has inadequate tactile feedback and does not always latch
  • 510mA current draw
  • Suggested use: EDC

Hello,

sounds great! What do You think about the 40h batterylife? Possible?

40 hours? At ~500mA, you're going to get well under 3 at maximum output with a typical set of 123A cells.

After some voltage sag, current should drop, so maybe you'll be trickling out a few mA after 40 hours, but I don't think most are going to endure tens of hours of sub-1lm output just to say they reached 40.

If you ever loose the plastic washer between the LED assembly and the bezel spring, you'll find a replacement at the top (or bottom) of a stack of blank CD's (yeah, the ones they sell at OfficeMax, etc.)
