I ordered a TurtleLite II from the LEDCorp website on 1/21, and even received a purchase confirmation email from them immediately aftewards ... but still no package and they haven't responded to two emails asking for delivery status.

Does anyone have a phone number for these guys (I didn't see one on the website), and has anyone had similar problems with them before?

I can handle slow deliveries or backorders, but poor communication puts them on the bottom of my list.

they are slow but i have gotten what i have ordered from them. the phone number is at the bottom of theie address on theier web page 888-394-2001 you will almost always speak to john the head guy and he has always been good to volunteer info and be as helpful as possible. you might give him a call and see how it works out
(still waiting on an order from him myself placed last friday)

Thanks Mike.

I get so used to picking links to find things that I miss the information in front of my nose sometimes <g>.

I'll give 'em a buzz shortly.

I just spoke to John at LED Corp, and he was as helpful as you said.

They just cleared out all outstanding orders yesterday, and asked me to call back in five days if it still hasn't arrived. Apparently they are switching carriers due to postal delays.

Well, here's a thread of commonality. I also ordered a Turtleite II last Thursday, 1/31/02 and have not received it as yet. They are in Ohio and I'm in NY, not too far. I ordered another light from BrightGuy in Ohio and received it the next day! I called LedCorp 2 days ago and they said that it must have been sent? Then I called again yesterday and they told me it would be going out today. Here's the kicker...I checked my credit card and it was billed last week when I placed my order! They are quick to get the billing down. Actually, I believe that is illegal. You can only bill when something ships, not when you receive an order! That will be my last order from LedCorp.

hhmmmmmm maybe we should be careful with this business. i might give them one more try but it is afternoon one week after my order was placed and still no leds

Their unbelievably high prices (like $40 for a PR2 Luxeon) should be enough of a deterrent!

is the turtle 2 still like 30 dollars? its such a rip off. when i ordered mine it took about 2 weeks for me to get it and they never responded to any of my emails. I will never buy from them again. if im giving them my money the very least they could do is answer their mail.

I just received my Turtlelite II in the mail today. I guess my complaining and calling did some good finally. It's a nice light. I don't think it's bad at $28 for a light that's suppose to run for 65hrs.

They turned yours around in just about a week, and they warned on the website to allow for up to two weeks on normal delivery, so I guess you did good.

OTOH, mine is going on 3+ weeks

but at least I got in touch with someone. Sounds like they could stand some improvement in their overall processes.

Maybe it was because I mentioned to them that I knew that they billed my credit card without actually shipping the item. A definite no-no. If that was the case, every company would do that, backorder or in-stock. I'm not positive, but I believe that is illegal. Anyhow, after I mentioned this fact, they looked up my order and I asked them to send it out and they did. Good luck, I hope you get yours soon. Check your card.

Hi all. Sorry to hear about everyone's problems with LEDCorp. I hate to hear that they are becoming an unreliable source to buy from. Anyway, I just though I would mention that I'm selling a Turtlelite II on Ebay, for anyone that is frustrated with dealing with LEDCorp. It is in perfect new condition and I'm including 4 new Lithium AA's with it (dated 2009). These are the old type of Lithium AA's (not the new type with the lower voltage). I'll also make a posting in the "Individual For Sale/Trade" section of the board (gotta love that section). Here is the URL for the auction for any that might be interested: Turtlelite II Auction.
