I just picked up this small LED light called a Photonpump V8 Turbo. It came in a black box with white writing which was mostly in German, however, a sticker on the box states that it is made in China.

Also, some info is in English. The light consist of an aluminum housing 2-1/2" long with a single white LED and holds 4 lithium watch type batteries. Info on the box states that light output is 100h with Lifetime of approx 100,000 hours.

The light seems to have a great output for a small light. I'm new to LED lights and this forum and would like to know if anyone has heard of this light and their thoughts on it.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Cris and welcome to the board. This flashlight pop's up about once a month here. I belive it's the same as the Eddie Bauer light sold at Target Dept stores. The general feeling here seems to be the it is "all right". Not to bad but we have seen alot worse. Stick around and learn about the really good ones and you too can become a true Flashaholic. ;> )

I reviewed the red LED version of this flashlight. I checked the web page and found I had not yet given a final rating, but I believe it will end up with 3 stars out of 5.

Functionally, your light is identical to mine except you stuff 4 of the little alkaline button cells into yours instead of 2. And if the rubber button ever falls off and ends up going down the toilet or up the vaccum, just unscrew the tailcap and look under the spring; there should be a spare in there.

Hi high altitude,

Welcome! Your light is made by a German organisation - zweibrueder. Their site is mostly in German, but here is a English page on your light.

This forum has a handy search facility; just click on search at the top of most screens and enter your details. I entered "photonpump" for the LED forum and found 6 results.
