I use it primarily as a Xenon P60/61 host (hence my posting it in the incandescent forum), but it will also host LED modules. The anti-shock bezel does not have the thermal conductive properties of the C2 or 6P, so single mode high current LED modules should only be used in short bursts. Here's a pic of it hosting a SolarForce R2 module. The 140mah low mode works very well to keep emitter temps down and extend run times. Higher modes are a thumb-press away.

Nice photos Kramer! I have and older original M2 which I still like a lot. They're very solid lights aren't they.

It's very similar to the Fenix TK10 head which came after this style Surefire. Others love to copy don't they.

Why does that look different than my M2? Is that the 36 mm head?

I think mine is an older version (?). The current production bezels are more cylindrical and have some heatsink fins around the perimeter... I think..

Don't laugh... I used my stove with my wifes sweater stretched over some cardboard as a light booth to snap those pics. The overhead range has 2-3 incandescent bulbs that cast a soft, yellow glow. I think it reveals texture details better than fluorescent tubes. My macro focus is out of whack though.

Congrats on a beautiful light! I really love the "beefy" look of the M2 as compared to the C2.

I know that that a malkoff M60 might be troublesome but what do you guys think of the M60L in an M2 for extended periods - anybody run this?

Very nice photos of a solid light! Plagiarizing the depths of the CPF knowledge base, here are a couple of prior versions of the M2 bezels (from Size15's post)

As you can see, your M2 is shaped more in tune with the current version. I wish I have an M2 to compare notes with you. Congratulations and thanks for taking the time to post some very enticing images.

With Aloha,

Clarence

I checked mine when I got home, I actually have a C2. :ohgeez:

My C2 has a smaller head on it.

Very nice!

Not to hijack your thread, but the SF embossed on the lanyard clip is very cool. None of mine have this nice touch.
