Too lazy to look for a pineapple thread...Finally found a combination that i liked.
  • Flat Aleph tailcap with clickie (from Sandwich Shoppe, flat black)
  • Pineapple (from fenix-store.com, designed by Peu, black)
  • C to E adapter (from Lighthound.com, gray)
  • G&P tactical head (from Lighthound.com, black)
  • Surefire P60 lamp assembly
Interestingly, the gray adapter defines the head from the body very well as each component is a different shade of black.

Anyway, feel free to post your pineapples here.

Here are my current configurations:

By the way, both these lights are sporting Seoul P4 U-bin emitters driven by NG750 sammies. The red one has a 30-ohm two-stage tailswitch.

WP and Pablo - Great looking lights. I am in the process of putting together the pieces for my Pi bodies. What LE setup are you using with the A3s, and are you using 2x123s or single lithium-ions? Thanks in advance. Kirk

PS - Starfiretoo - that is a very nice looking light.

Standard Bare Aluminium Aleph tailcap with 2 stage 60ohm, and the head is a rare McGizmo built Bare Aluminium PR head with an X3T emitter. The pineapple body has 4 tritium vials installed at 90 degree intervals in the slot in the front, so it is easily visible from any direction.

Thanks, for the complements for my "toy" from established builders...

I have a dry writing style but it was my intent in this thread to get others to post to inspire others on getting their pineapples together

WP-Always impeccable statuesque versions of our "toys". Like the way the form and color works on your aleph 3 version. Like the tritium in the knob too.

PEU-Thanks for producing the pineapple then frustrating me trying to get a head to match that body. Was worth it all.

Nebula-Remember to post this thread when you get your awesome pineapples done.

GregW-The polished PR head works great against the polished body. I tried the black PR on at first but found it too plain. Strictly awesome polished.

For me the pineapple body was a hard configuration to get the right "look". Inspiration came from a Surefire P60 head. In its present form it looked too plain although the head was the right diameter and length. The G&P was the best candidate for me as it was cheap, had the crenelated bezel and couple grooves. Balanced the body quite well.

>>This space RESERVED FOR PIC<<< :)

I have used an old style KL1 Nat on a Black Pineapple with an E2D tailcap. It looks nice even with the mismatch.

Everyone- Thanks for posting. Please describe your different configurations. It will help others build theirs.

Here's a pic of my Pi. It is an HA KL1 NAT head and tailcap, and HA black Pi. The KL1 has been fitted with a Seoul P4 (milkyspit) and really cranks out the lumens.

The Pi doesn't have any chips- the light areas are reflections and/or artifacts from the JPEG compression.

I love the "grippiness" of this body, and wish that others would use a similar pattern on their Surefire C- and M- series bodies (whaddya think, Leef? :) ).

Nice combos guys!
Thought I'd toss a little bling in the mix.

Recently i have updated my pineapple in the 1st post using a Cree drop-in. Originally i used a Surefire P6 lamp assembly. This is because i had one on hand and i wanted to keep this as low cost as posssible so that others could duplicate it. With the advent of cheap Cree drop-ins lately i just put in one of those Dealextreme $12.50 drop-ins and it fits perfect.

Be advised that the head is not Surefire and due to manufacturing tolerances with these cheaply made products "your milage will vary". Also, i wouldn't trust my life with this. The rest of the flashlight has excellent made parts. Before putting in this Cree drop-in i had in a Wolf-eyes brand Cree drop-in. Though well made the beam pattern wasn't balanced. Strong spot but dark areas in the spill (bulls-eye target)

Time will tell. Happy Modding

I'll add a pic in a day or two of my new Pi: Aleph1 head + Ti bezel + black HA McT tailcap. It looks menacing, and with the Seoul P4 running at 917mA it is bright too! :)
