Hi,

first of all, nothing happened! But I'm not sure if something happened to the cell?
I used a WF-139 charger, put in the cell and wondered why the green light didn't turn red as I realized the battery was placed back to front (btw, do you actually say "back to front"?) and quickly pulled the plug.

Measured the voltage on the cell and it says 3.37V. Now, is it save to charge it? Perhaps charger and battery never made contact?!

Just a bit afraid of it going :poof:

Any advise?

Hi Tom,
good designed chargers do not make contact if the battery is placed wrong.

Further, chargers usually check for correct voltage (and polarity) before starting the charge.

I don't think any damage happed to the cell.

Agreed with Tom. Most "smart" consumer charger has a deep seated metal contact to prevent exactly such incident and the electronic inside should also prevent it from charging.
