Hi,
I somehow remember having read in here, that IMS wont fit directly onto Seouls and have to be modded ...

now I have placed the Seouls on the sink and just put one of the IMS 20 on them: went right on and all the interior of the reflector showed the yellow color of the phosphor - for me usually an indicator that a reflector sits at the correct place.
But the legs of the IMS are too short and have some gap to the ground, the inner hole rests on the silicone surface of the led.

Question is now: in what way have the IMS to be modded?
By now I think of just adding some epoxy to each leg and leave it that way.

Better ideas?
Usual way to plant them with Seouls?

Same here. I've made 1 tri-seoul maglight using ims-20's and 1 Q-III with a seoul and an ims-20. I didn't mod the reflectors in any way and they work great!

Same here, I use the same technique. All the IMS's I have tried project beautifully...no hacking necessary .
