Hello,

I have a Chinese-made SAIK SA-15 flashlight that I would like to change its tailcap into a GITD one. However, I can't figured out how could I remove the switch module :( It doesn't have any hole for using tweezers to unscrew out as the other light I have. I try using pliers to press against the inner wall to try to unscrew it with out any success.

Please give me some advice. Thank you in advance.

It seems to me that black disc is preventing you from accessing the retaining ring. See if you can remove that disc by twisting using a sharp pointy tool... otherwise I have no other clue for ya.

There are 3 possibilities.

1). Where you are looking...where the battery would go in might not be the only opening. Sometimes the tailcap itself can be unscrewed closer down toward the end and it's not always apparent.

2). There may be a plastic disc covering the retaining ring that you need to pop out.

3). It may not unscrew with needlenose pliers like most do (with the two tiny punch holes) but may have two flat areas on the top and bottom of the retaining ring and you put two small flat screwdrivers in there to turn counterclockwise.

Let us know if you are able to fix it.

Good luck!
