All, I am trying to figure out how to order the right light for me. I have decided on a mule. I like the whole flood light concept. I have enough conventional throwers. Now the questions:

On the shoppe they show Aleph Mule GD Cree 1x123 Flashlight . This has GD500 Cree Q4 Light Engine . I am assuming this layout has 2 settings using a rear click switch. Is this correct. the problems is they list the resistor as being 5 ohms. Is that correct? They also list the new GDup engine right above it. Can I get the shop to use the GDup instead of just the GD500? Is the only benefit that it includes three settings? If that is the only difference than I can stick with two.

Does the light come with a clip or do I need to order one? Is it tapped for the clip screws or is this some major machining mod that I have to do?

I know the titanium bezel is an option. Can I get the shoppe to switch my base one for the titanium one. I know I need to pay more for this. I really do not want to have the spare base one. Is there some credit for that?

Does anyone have a picture of this light? I was able to searchg and find manay of the fancy Ti ones but not a picture of what is currently available now.

I am a newbie so I apoligize is advance if these are basic questions. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure this out with no luck last night.

If the shoppe wants to send direct email, I am at [email protected].

thanks again,
John

Well let's see.
Wait for the GDuP engine, trust me. Don himself said these were the best engines for the Mule period. They will be avalible soon enough at the shoppe and work with primaries or li-ions. The 3 levels are achieved without any inefficient resistors and makes a much more useful light having 3 levels as well IMO. It comes with the clip on it and ready to go. The Ti bezel has different dimentions and won't go on the EN coated Al Aleph Mules. Check out the link, it actually comes with a black switch boot.

If you want Ti you need to get a true McGizmo. Look for them at the custom buy sale trade thread, they pop up at least every 2 weeks.

Sgt led, thanks for the replies. I ordered what I thought was the right setup.

If the shoppe people read this forum please do not send me the clip if there is one attached already.

If I can upgrade to the GDup engine that would be prefered.

Shoppe, Please contact me, I have tried every way possible to contact you:thinking:.

There is not a clip installed. As stated above holes need to be drilled and tapped.
You can buy a GDuP LE when they become available. We will not swap it.

I sent email with additional comments.
