Poor Collimation

I recently received a leadlight 105 from a friend and realized that It is really poorly collimated. Instead of keeping a constant focus at any distance, it focuses smaller the closer I am to the surface to which I am pointing, and gets larger and larger the farther I go away. Its just a pinpoint at 1cm, pea-sized at 2 1/2 feet, and a little larger than a golf ball at 13 3/4 feet. It'll get to the size of a basketball when pointed at semi-distant tree. Is this typical with leadlights? Is there any way I can add a lens to focus/collimate it better?

Thanks,
Kenneth Anderson

simple adjust the position of the collimating lens. Shine the laser on a surface say 50 or more feet from you. Adjust the lens until the spot is a small as possible at that range. A friend can help by letting you know when the spot is smallest.
