Poor Man\'s SureFire E2e ?

I almost lost my SF E2e today.

I keep it clipped to my rear pants pocket.

I was sitting at a Starbucks and while walking out to my car, a VERY NICE person ran up to me and said, "is this yours?" while handing me my SF flashlight -- WOW.

My question is: Is there any other flashlight (including LEDs) which is close to the SF E2e in lighting power, size and quality -- and has a POCKET CLIP -- at under $30 or so?

How nice he is.. Glad that you didn't lose it eventually. What about keeping it in a holster?(Kydex would be good)

Unscrew head, remove O-ring, wrap wire around the bend in the clip and pull directly toward the head end of the body to remove the clip. Bend clip at the curve to make it tighter, then reassemble.

My E2e clip is very tight now and quite secure.

I have my L4 sitting in my right pocket, i have the lanyard attached to a carbiner on my belt. That way, if it comes loose it's still attached at the second point.

Streamlight Scorpion. It was made with a pocketclip for a while, not sure if they still have it. Otherwise, the rubber body will have a lot more friction against your back pocket than the anodized E2e.

Thanks for your info -- I might look into a nylon holder for the E2e.

But, in general, I don't like the "batman belt" look (i.e. wearing a phone, pager, knife, flashlight, etc. on my belt).

HA HA ... When I go downtown or anywhere I wear:
- A lighter ( Zippo )in a Zippo holster
- An infinity Ultra
- A metal retractable pen
- E2L or E1L
- 2 knives ( normally the Leatherman wave + Gerber 1blade)

Thats normally it...

How about the brinkman maxfire? The rubber comes off it and after the rubber is taken off, it is pretty slim. Maybe after the rubber is taken off, you could fit a clip on it somehow.

The Scorp clip I bought some years ago is wide and almost as long as the rubber covered body. Clip that in your pocket and it'll take a lot to dislodge it.

That price appears WAY too cheap to be of any real quality...

4 rechargable 123s WITH a smart charger AND a flashlight?

PM6 is that much, G2 nearly so.

To call me skeptical wouldn't be enough!

Holster firmly attached to belt, or lanyard baby!

I'll also take a look at the Scorpion -- too bad it does not come with a pocket clip.

A really cool little light is the Streamlight Keymate. I think they sell for less than 15.00.

You could always get a knife pocket clip and JB weld it (it's a metal filler)
