We know that the fill gas mix impacts the quality of an arc light.

Has anyone ever tried a deuterium-arc lamp? The reaction won't reach break-even, but it might contribute enough heat to keep the lamp operating with unusually high efficiency, since the battery won't have to provide all the energy.

Crazy awesome, or just a half-kiloton :poof: waiting to happen?

PS: work is boring today.

I'm thinking that you won't reach fusion, and otherwise it won't be reacting to make heat - and if it were, you'd run out of deuterium. And if you want an oxygen-hydrogen torch, just say so ;)
