power glow light pens

We had a bunch of these made with our company info on it and give it out to clients. They love it. The oohs and aahs never get old when I whip one out and start writing with the blue LED on.

I almost always then have to stop and demonstrate the pen.

Edit - Thanks for the link, I did not know I could get Fisher Space Pen refills.

You are right, it is not that bright. It's just (barely) enough to see what's at the ballpoint of the pen. And when you unscrew it to use just the LED it is pretty much useless other than to show others what it can do. I think of it as more of a novelty LED than a usefull LED like a ARC-AAA or a Photon. It does not seem to be very robust construction, but my switch has worked OK so far.

I am writing in the dark all the time at shows so mine comes in handy. It's easier to just pull out the pen, click on the LED and start writing, than to put a Photon in my mouth to illuminate my paper.

Target has similar light pens, not sure how much they were going for, but I think they were about $5 or so-
There's a washer on it that you remove to change it from momentary on to on/off, and removing the barrel lets you use it as a light.
Would have been nicer without the kids themes on the pens, but still nice.
