I hope that this isn't off topic, but I just received from ReadySetGlo my order of Aqua glow powder and the results can be seen on my website Glowing. This stuff really rocks. It compares identical (by eyesight only, no instruments) to the Nichia Blue Green that I also have. Later, I will post side by side of both pigments, if anyone be interested.

Most impressive indeed! Do I hear group buy?

FYI, Shannon at ReadySetGlo sells in small quantities as well as large, so group buys just to evaluate it aren't really necessary. I bought a 30gm supply and it does indeed, go a long way. Her prices are very very reasonable. She runs a top rate business with a top rate product. I will definitely purchase more as warranted.

Great post Edwood

Best real glow pictures so far!!

Also very glad to hear that readysetglo has quality stuff.

Edit: it's not really (up to a point) the percentage of pigment added-with lacquer-base, it's the rapid evaporation that makes the paint "goopy"

-I've tried all levels of strength, and find that under 25-30% or so, that it takes just too many coats (like 7-8(!) to get a surface that will glow with the intensity I expect.

Darell, you could this stuff to paint your ceiling fan and relieve your trasers for other more exciting duty *LOL*

Thanks again Edwood, I'm checking out ReadySetGlo now...

Darell, not to get too off topic, but it appears from Hotfoot's reply that you have secured your Glowrings to your ceiling fan blades??? Sounds like an interesting use for Trasers! So how did you secure them? I would hate to think of one detaching from the fan at full speed and hitting someone in the head. Of course a Traser injury might be kind of a cool thing for a flashaholic!!!

Hanging from the middle Makes sense to me. Come to think of it, I don't believe the Trasers would be bright enough to see too well at typical ceiling fan rotational speeds.

Now if you could mount some overdriven Nichia LED's on the blades, you would have something! I think that we may have stumbled upon a good use for my excess Photon 2's.

The picture on the left looks like the stargate from Stargate SG1 after they've "dialed out".

This is weird. I've had trasers on my ceiling fan since 3/01. One on the pull-string (so I can see it at night) and I used to have them on the blades (green / ice blue / and yellow).

If no one buys those Ra'vns off me in the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum, I am gonna put the on there.
