Much like what I use for night orienteering - though I have 4 XR-E LEDs rather than 3 . Powered by a 2 cell 18650 LiIon remote pack, which gives me ~1.5 hours on highest (750mA drive) setting via a Fatman with separate uC controller board (soon to be upgraded to a Maxflex when I get round to it).Still, it would be nice to have a 3-emitter setup if it offered good throw and flood at the same time. Runtime would suffer accordingly though - I wouldn't want more weight than the Apex on my head, and three emitters would require quite a bit more power. Something like that needs an external battery pack with li-ion or C/D NiMH....
Uses a clever clip on mounting system the light is kept secure on your bike at all times.
