Princeton Tec Apex Pro?

Hello,
I want to purchase the Princeton Tec Apex pro. I went to flashlightreviews.com and there is a review for the aa version not the pro, which runs on two cr123's. I want this version because of weight and its cheaper to put in 123's than lithium aa's. The aa version got 5 stars and top pick for headlamps and I imagine that the pro version is the same quality,except for the batteries, but to make sure can anyone tell me about theirs and if they like it. Thanks alot!!

The runtimes are shorter on the Pro and I prefer using rechargeable AA, but I currently own both.

The Pro is super light though. I find that the top strap isn't even necessary. There are lots of threads about the Apex. Try doing a CPF search.

I would like to search but this error keeps coming up. So the only diff. is that the runtimes are shorter?

The lamp unit is exactly the same.

CR123 batteries have the potential to explode. Even more so if care is not taken in their use or the light comes on by accident and stays on. The Apex can easily come on in your pack so don't store batteries in it.
