Princeton TEC Pulsar vs Photon Micro Lights

I would like to hear other opinions comparing the Princeton TEC Pulsar and Pulsar II to the Photon Micro Light I and II.

I have only owned the Photons and am very happy with them. But I am curious about the Pulsars. At least in my area the Pulsars seem to be more available and are a little less expensive that the Photons.

Any opinions?

Thanks.

the photons have gold plated leads so they seem a little more reliable after sometime. The pulsars also require a little more pressure to turn on than the photons. I haven't tried the new pulsars with the switch yet.

In terms of brightness, they are the same.

I have the Pulsar in red & in blue, but not in white; and these are the squeeze-only version with no additional switch.

Since I don't have a Photon 1 to compare them with, this will have to be up to somebody who does have both.
The Pulsars are at least as bright as the P2 of the same colors, that much I can say.

Just one point I can offer. I put a Pulsar on my wife's key-chain a while back. It was a "gift" from PT, as I sell their lights. She came home one day with the light hanging from her key-chain in 2 peices with the insides (batteries and LED) gone! It had come apart and spilled it's guts! No screws to hold it together, just a snap-fit case. I have since replaced it with the Micro Light II (my second one). They are screwed together.

I was afreaid of this. I have yet to find a LED light, of similar size and type to a Photon Micro Light that can even come close to Photon quality, in my opinion. I think that the Pulsars are the closest though, in my opinion.

I might get a Pulsar to try but I think I will stick with the Photons.

Thanks.

I think the brigtness of the 2 are comparable, however the Photon is better made and much easier to work with. The pulsar that I have requires a lot of pressure to keep on, and it seems to get worse with time.
