Princeton Tec Quad mod?

Has anyone here been able to get into the PT Quad to swap out emitters or at least roughen them up for more flood? I'm looking to get even more flood than how it is now, and eliminate that pesky blue hotspot and green spill.

Has anyone swapped emitters to see if a higher-rated 5mm would do better than the Nichias in it?

I have not tried it myself, but it looks like it would be easy to open up a quad, construction looks similar to EOS.

I am satisfied with it as is tho, and would rather not mod it.

4 SMJ's would be whiter and perhaps brighter, but would end up costing $18 US, doesn't seem to be worth it...

Diggin' up an old thread... anyone done this yet? I just got a quad, and the tint is less than happy :green: ... Has anyone swapped out the LED's in their Quad (or Tikka)? If so, which 5mm LED's did you use?
