Thats stange i would expect lithium primarys to be brighter since their voltage is higher.

Energizer Lithium AAA are still 1.5V
If the eneloops are brighter, they I believe they would have a lower internal resistance so they can deliver the power with less losses.

Stupid me. Got too excited with my new toy (Copper QR) which arrived today, I didn't realized I put in a depleted cell. Cheers Guys. :)

Ordered an electroless nickel and a tube of Nano Oil from Jason. This will be my first AAA light and my first experience with a high-CRI LED.

Jason supplied a tracking number the same day I placed my Saturday order for the Beta-QR (EN). I was not expecting a weekend order to be processed so quickly. I thought it important enough to mention just how quickly Jason is getting these Beta-QR lights to his customers. Thank you, Jason, for your super-prompt attention to my order. I wish you success, sir.

That's awesome he's able to pack and ship so quickly.

You've chosen a very good place to start. I have numerous AAA lights and Hi-CRI lights, but I think this is one of only 2 that's both. It's a beaut! And such a value relative to the quality.
Enjoy!

Has anybody successfully pulled the light engine out of their Beta-QR? I tried with tweezers, but it was not moving. Don't want to destroy it taking the pill out.

Thanks,
eala

You have to unscrew it. Why do you want to take it out?

I very much like the LED Jason chose for his Beta-QR. My preference is to pocket it without the QR. I am very pleased with this first purchase single AAA flashlight.

I agree with you bluebonnet. I carry mine sans the QR. I have 3 lights and all of them have really sloppy fitting QR's. The light is great though!

The quick release mechanism on my EN version has a nice fit...no play to speak of. I just like the feel of this little light without the QR. If it only had a tiny tail cap switch where the QR fits into the body instead of the twisty...just a dream, and nothing against the QR itself---I just find myself not using the key ring much. This QR-Beta is a fine little light. Thanks, Jason.

Just received my Copper QR and the QR has no play. Threads are nice and smooth. I would love a pocket clip or even a lanyard hole. the QR adds about an extra half inch to the overall light. Personally, I feel the QR is more novel than anything else.
