Excellent!

Is the holstered one full-polished? I'd love a completely nude pic if so ;-)
Sure! Here it is..

PRETTY! Did you get it polished from Jason or do it yourself?

I did it myself. Some elbow grease, a quality polishing cloth, and chrome polish. Jason did recommend silver polish however - maybe because silver polish is much 'gentler', as that shiny Alpha was initially stonewashed.

The patina'd Alpha was brushed.

I bet that DID take a while from stonewashed! Love it though

Today's EDC.
Love the knife! Is the light brand new or recently polished?

My copper Beta looked great for a while, then formed a nice patina and I like it even more but I think it's kind of ugly now :-(

I should probably polish it again but I think it will only last a couple weeks since I EDC it. Seems like a lot of work for a very short payoff.

Thanks. Light is recently purchased. Very tempted to get the nickel version and let this one patina.

I really like this copper head on the standard brushed body

Here's my Prometheus yellow I just got it back from Pittsburgh Cerakote. I had a few color ideas, but yellow is my favorite.

The Prometheus's specs are:
Lumens @ 30 seconds: 909
Color Temp: 6500K
Emitter: XML
Optic: TIR
Max Drive Current: 2.773A

This light has more Lumens out the front, then any other light I have ever owned. Jason did a great job putting this light together.

Looks awesome! What a "KML" emitter? Did you mean "XML"?

Jon,
It's actually called "Electric Yellow", but there is a "Corvette Yellow" in Cerakote.

I'm using my Alpha in conjunction with a fluorescent tube protector as a "tube light" for photography. More importantly though, it looks like a lightsaber:

If anyone is interested, a 4' T8 fluorescent sleeve is $4 from Home Depot and the Alpha fits snuggly inside. I rolled up paper inside to disperse the light. One could use colored paper for a green or red or blue saber. Pretty sure I'll be doing that for Halloween because it gives me an excuse to use my light in a costume haha.

Very eye-catching choice! Looks amazing!

Thanks for sharing! Yup, it definitely beats lugging around light stands and umbrellas. Just hook the lanyard with your light and diffuser to your belt and you'll be the coolest photographer. :p

Ah, I can see why you chose 4K tint with the DriverVn mod - The 6-mode group would be great to dial in the right amount of light for your shot. And the 1Hz or 3Hz modes would make it great for Halloween duty. :D

Ya the 4000k looks great in my test shots so far and I've been using the 6 mode escalating group (12) to dial in the brightness. Hadn't though about the strobe modes but I'll check them out tonight in the "saber" :)

Barefootone, does your Ice V3 have a cool XML or a MCE ? At the top of one of the pics it says MCE. If it's the XML, how do you like the beam pattern, tint, etc. The reason I ask is because I just got in on the latest Custom batch (an hour or two ago) and ordered the cool XM-L2. I already have a RM with the MCE 4500k and absolutely love it. I wanted my second one with more output and a little more reach. But I'm worried that I'm taking away what makes an Alpha an Alpha ! Any opinions from anybody?
