In brief, relevants points: Henry said:
Based on the silver Bezel and the records, that should be the Clicky Prototype.
It has the Osram small die LED and generates a fairly narrow beam pattern.
However, the prototype was not sold with a clip, the clip shown is a custom titanium bezel up/down design not purchased from HDS. It was made by Chip valtakis (CPF WValtakis2) one of the CPF modders.
The battery compartment (with 2 nurled caps) is compatible with the EDC Ultimate flashlight - the 60 or 45 refers to lumen output and has nothing to do with the battery compartment. This can be confirmed by looking at the threads, they are very fine, 32 threads per inch (approx 0.8 threads per mm) and are annodized. The second cap allows you to safely carry a spare battery.
History: HDS changed the threads when they redesigned the light in 2007, starting with the Twisty. HDS moved to a courser 24 thread per inch (still using the V thread form) and they were no longer annodized. At serial number 20,000, HDS again changed the threads, to a courser 16 threads per inch stub Acme thread form, which is what is being used today.
It has sold on the HDS FB Group, I felt it only right to show it there first as Henry had been so good to me, honouring the HDS collectors.
