Is there any possibility to turn on all lights at the same time:
1 Maxbright 3 Watt LED + 4 Ultrabright LEDs

Sorry, could not find any ideas in the threads

Regards, Hubert

I'm not sure that's possible given the setup of the integrated circuit... you could hardwire it in, but you'd be sacrificing the functionality of the light, not to mention battery life and likely the life of the driver as well (more current than it was intended to handle). A better choice would be to swap it out for a Seoul P4 to get the greater light you want. In fact, out of all my lights my Seoul-modded Apex is the brightest (while on high) - this is compared to all of the ones in my sig line!

In regards to your original question, I think people have decided that the risks/sacrifices aren't worth the little that you would gain through such a mod.

i am looking for a how-to-Seoul P4-mod for my pt apex
does anyone have instructions therefore? My searching did not match.

(best way to order, how to replace, does the regulation also work after mod...)

Thank`s
Hubert

Try to this thread: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=141392&page=2&pp=30

There are no detailed instructions, and these assume you know how to desolder the old Luxeon, solder the new Seoul on, etc. You'll have to get some thermal compound like Arctic Alumina... you can get everything you need from Photonfanatic on the forum: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=85330

You need to buy some Arctic Alumina Thermal Compound and an SSC P4 Emitter (no star needed) in regular white. If you're not confident in your soldering skills buy more than one emitter, just in case. :)
