Can someone enlighten me. The Impact has 1 LED and 4 AA batts while the Attitude has 3 LEDs and 4 AAA batts. How can PT say the run times are both 150 hrs + ?

Which is your favorite light ?

I like the Attitude. Small package and a nice amount of nice even light from the 3 LEDs. The Impact uses a lens to tightly focus the beam of a single LED. So total output is lower, just more focused. I find most uses for LED flashlights require a broader beam. But, I'm sure the useable runtime from the Attitude is nowhere near 150hrs.

I haven't seen the Impact, but I really like the size, shape, and light output I get from my Attitude. It's a really nice little light, and from the current draw I measured, it should put out a decent amount of light for several hours. I haven't actually run the batteries dead in it yet.

There's always a trade-off between brightness, run time, and physical size. IMO, I would take the brighter, smaller light with a decent run time, over a dimmer, bigger light with extremely long run time, unless I was going to be in a situation to warrant such a need (but you could always carry extra batteries.)

The Impact only uses 1 LED, the Attitude uses 3 LEDs. Driving 1 LED from 4 AA batteries should give a pretty long runtime, although keep in mind that while the quoted time may be 150hrs, it probably isn't very bright at that point..

The Impact and Attitude are quite different lights - the Impact uses a lens to give quite a tight, focussed beam (for an LED..), whereas the Attitude gives a very wide, dispersed light.

I have an Impact, and quite like the tight beam, although I haven't had a chance to see if it really lasts 150hrs..
