Is it possible for someone, or several CPF'ers to list every model, version, edition, and mark of JetBeam flashlights?

The reason I ask is because JetBeam is pretty much the worst at having versions upon editions upon revisions.

Example: JetBeam Jet-III MKII-X Pro Ex version 2.1 ST

Yeah, I know that's made up, but it's almost that bad.

I'm trying to wrap my brain around all the versions and what the differences are between them. This could be a good resource for anyone trying to figure out what JetBeam is good for them.

The first two JETBEAM lights were the JETBEAM JET-1 Mark 1 and Mark 2. The mk.I was a single mode and mk.II had it as 65%, 5%, 100%, strobe. mk.I and mk.II reviews.

I have both mk.1/mk.2 and were purchased directly from JetBeam when he sold them here early on. My Jet-1 mk.II with a AW 14500 is still my main edc, partially because I do not have any 1xAA with a cree.

I have a Jet-III Pro with a SMO and wish it was a OP. Also would have liked to have the more compact JETBeam Jet-III ST instead.

I agree that there was a time or two when it was confusing as there is a Jet-II that was for a demo review but was really a Jet-1 something...

Something like these for starters.

JETBeam Jet-1 MK.I
JETBeam Jet-1 MK.II

JETBeam JET-1 MK X (1xAA with a cree)
JETBeam JET-1 MK.II R (1xAA with a cree)
JETBeam JET-1 MK I.B.S.

1xCR123
JETBeam JET-II I.B.S.
JETBeam JET-II Pro
JETBeam JET-II Pro Titanium

2xAA
JETBeam JET-I Pro EX
JETBeam JET-I Pro EX V2.0

JETBeam C-LE
JETBeam C-LE V1.2
JETBeam C-LE V2
JETBeam JET-1 Pro
JETBeam JET-μ .. (1xAAA)

1x18650 models with I.B.S (Jet-III Pro originally had reverse clicky until ST/Ultra came out)
JETBeam JET-III Pro
JETBeam JET-III ST
JETBeam JET-III Ultra
JETBeam JET-III Pro Titanium

http://www.light-reviews.com/reviews.html has a number of these.

The Mk.II R was SUPPOSED to be a rebel, that's what it was originally announced as. But JetBeam didn't like the heat it gave off or something and went with a cree.

1x18650 models.
JETBeam Jet-III Pro IBS
JETBeam Jet-III ST
JETBeam Jet-III Ultra

I have a Jet-III Pro IBS with a SMO and wish it was a OP. Also would have liked to have the more compact JETBeam Jet-III ST instead.

I just pulled the trigger last night on a Jet-III Pro with the OP reflector (almost ordered the smooth).
I was considering the Jet-III ST and although it's more sleek and has the brass inner bezel ring bling thing happening, same specs as the III Pro, etc... it only weighs half as much and just seems to be potentially less durable physically if dropped IMO.

To the OP - all currently produced JETBeam models moving forward (III series and newer) have the I.B.S., and the tailcap inner ring is now metal and not plastic.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thank you so much!!!!

The cherry on top would be to briefly describe the differences between each model.

I am a big fan of JetBeam, but their endless model changes have me totally confused also! There has to be a better way.

Word up! This is why I started this thread.... for realz.

Yo, JetBeam, check it...

JetBeam [FLASHLIGHT MODEL NAME] [VERSION NUMBER]

Example:
JetBeam SunSaber V3

K.I.S.S.

Take notes from Dereelight.

Got it? Cool.

All the new JET-III have a forward clicky as the JET-III Pro originally had a reverse clicky until the ST/Ultra versions came out.

I´m about to buy my first "high end" flashlight and I just wonder why you whish it was OP instead of SMO?

Interesting. I just ordered a Jet-III Pro from BOG yesterday and it was still advertised with the reverse clicky, and they listed a forward clicky as a $5 accessory, so I grabbed one. I remember reading in one of the threads (selfbuilt?) that they were now making them with the forwards so that's why I grabbed one, thinking mine was made before the change. No biggie; maybe I'll end up with two forward clickys. :)

Yup, you and the OP are not the only ones.

Despite my careful research and purchase of the Jet-1 MK IBS, I still get thoroughly confused about their naming schemes. This is despite the fact I work in high tech that uses acrynoms all day long...

Everytime I want to buy a JetBeam or think about buying one, I have to thoroughly spend the time to research the model name, its lineage, its purpose vs other JetBeam lights. Time I just don't have any more.

The naming scheme violates every commandment of good marketing.

For this and a few other reasons, it may be a long time before I acquire another JetBeam... Too bad, they are great lights... :shakehead

OP will reduce or remove the rings in the beam.
What HJK said. The light throws well with the smooth however the rings bother me more than I would like. It does not throw like the SMO Raidfire Spear I have as the Ultra model would be more similar as it has a smaller spot like the Spear. By using the OP you may get a smoother beam however you may loose some throw.

I don't know if they ever engraved any with an MkI designation, but the earliest model was just JETBeam JET-I.

There have been two JET-μ models. There earlier one had a LuxIII, brass head, and came out shortly after the Fenix L0P-SE. The latter had the SSC P4 and a SS head.
My JET-I does not have mk.1 like the second JET-1 has. My JET-1 mk1 has a serial# of JET e1.0 A000235 and mk.2 has serial# of JET e1.0A001135b to show they are pretty low numbers. The mk.1 came with a nice snug neoprene like holster but the belt loop was too low, then the mk.2 came with a holster that is almost a clone of the 1xAA holsters you see with Fenix.

Yes, I remember there were two JET-μ versions, just did pay attention too much as I am not interested in 1xAAA lights as much as 1xAA.

On the upside, if one breaks or has problems, you have another forward clicky. Its a nice light, not slim like the ST but still not not bulky like some 1x18650 lights can be.

The versionining of the "JET-III" models is better however the earlier in the middle of size model is essentially unnamed compared to the slim "ST" and bigger "Ultra".
