I have a civictor that I modded with a SSC P4. Will it work with an AW14500? I did a search and didn't find anything. It looks like 14500's work In most 1 AA lights from fenix.

Yes it was a direct swap. I would sure like the increase in output if the 14500 will work.

I can't believe no one has ever tried a 14500 in a civictor. I guess I just have to buy one and try it.

Long story short. I have a Civictor V1 that was modded with a Seoul P4. It was used heavily for months using NiMh batteries and worked great. One day it was dropped and refused to light up again. It's been sitting on my workbench for awhile now and after seeing this thread, decided to try a 14500 in it. It fired right up! Pretty bright too! I've let it run for 5-10 minutes at a time a few times and except for getting a little warm (expected) it seems to work fine. It still won't fire up on 1.5v though.

Now, I don't know what happened when it was dropped, or whether or not the Soeul P4 has anything to do with it, but it works on 3.7v. :)

Oh, and it appears to be slightly less bright than my IncenDio on high. But brighter than my 1.5v JetBeams V1.2 & V2.0's. So, it's somewhere in between there. But keep in mind, that's with a Seoul P4 mod.

Edit: Oooh, I see you've modded yours already. I just went back to the first thread again!

Are you feeling lucky?! :nana:
