Q III Modded with Lux V

I put a WX1T into a Q3 earlier today. (Endeavor you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif )
It actually mached a stock Q3 with less current draw.
Now for a good R123, or maybe 2 rechargeable cr2's crammed in there.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
Anyone want a Q3 sink for bare emitters?
Must be a way to make one easily out of copper with an emitter mounting pit. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I'd be interested in buying better heatsinking for my QIII. I would prefer to epoxy the star down onto a big plug of heatsinking metal rather than use a sink designed for emitters.

Benny,

tony has a good point he can build you a rocket of a light for nealy 1/2 the amount for a Lionheart or Lioncub.

However I will say to ask Tony to up the resistor so it could handle rechargables, because the 123's are brutally expenisve here in Norway. It would be far more economical for recharables.

Zess,
I didn't know that the brass came from Norway.. that's an interesting bit of history that I doubt I'll forget, infact I'll probably use it to get free beer out of people at the bar.
